New ReviewerMy friend in Canada purchased a Pandora leather bracelet and Best Friend charm for me. We have been best friends for 50 years now and purchased gifts to celebrate.
Within a week, the bracelet had started to unravel in the area nearest the clasp and under the charm. I contacted Pandora on line and sent an email with a photo to customer service. Twice. No one ever responded.
I took it to a local jeweler who sells Pandora and was told that they could not do anything because it was not purchased there. They advised that I call the closest Pandora store, located in Arden Faire Mall, Sacramento, CA. When I called, I was told that they could not replace it unless I had a sales receipt. I explained that it had been a gift and that it was from Canada and they said they could not do anything but if I purchased $100 in charms, I could get a silver bracelet for free.
I asked if she had a corporate person I could contact and she said that Pandora does not deal with issues such as this at a corporate level. I asked why I would do that when they wouldn't stand behind their product and she had no answer.
In spite of the price, Pandora is clearly an inferior product with zero customer service.
If you want a Pandora-like bracelet, buy a cheap knock off. At least that way, when it falls apart, you won't be as frustrated!
