Pandora Jewelry - Keeping your word
First off I would like to say that I have always had great interactions with the staff working out of this particular. They have always been kind, knowledgeable and very helpful.
This time however I wasn't even able to enter the store. I had been previously in the day but could not make a purchase at the time. By the time I had arranged transpiration back to the store it was 8:40. I wasn't worried because I looked up the store hours on Pandora's website and it said open until 9pm.
I walked up and there were 2 people in front and as I went to stand in line an associate told me that I wouldn't be able to get in. When asked why it was explained they were closing and management said that the people in front of us were the last. I explained that I knew which charm I wanted to purchase and would be very quick but was not allowed in line. I get it- when management says something you have to go with it because thatโs whom you answer to, so I in no way blame the associate.
I am most disappointed in Pandora as it seems to be a company that doesnโt foster compassion for others or doing what they can for their customers- and isn't that what all companies should focus on? I wasn't asking for anything out of the ordinary-just for you to stand behind your word. You advertised that the store closed at a certain time-I arrived a full 20 minutes before that time and was denied entry. I followed the rules, which you set, and could not shop.
As a result I will not be able to purchase a gift in time. I cannot come back tomorrow when the store opens at 11 (of course you said the store closed at 9 so I'm not entirely sure you guys will actually be open at 11 on Sunday). If it is your standard practice to close 20 minutes early you should let your customers know- Imagine if I was a person with mobility issues- I might have put in a lot more work and time in getting to the store only to be turned around. As a person who also works in retail I can tell you that we would never and have never done this- we close when we say we close.
My employer has never done this as it a poor practice of business (if a business can't stick to it's hours operations how can you believe other things they say- is the quality of the materials you use in your jewelry really as high as you claim?) and it shows a complete disregard for your customers. As much as I would love to go home early some nights we keep our promises to our customers- it's sad that you do not.
Reason of review: Did not receive service.
Preferred solution: Stand by your word, keep advertised store hours.
